I wanted to let everyone know that I have a new project running over on Backerkit right now. I decided to try Backerkit for a project or two to see if there was a significant difference between the platforms. The project over there is called Character Journals.
This project is grown out of the KS project I did a few years back called Dragonhyde. Those were leater bound journals that I hand stitched. I liked the project, but always wanted to do something more with it. Character Journals is that something more.
These journals are designed specifically for RPGs. The cover can be engraved with one of our designs or by a design of your own. Inside the front cover is a dry erase pocket to put a character sheet so you can track HP, Stats and spell slots easily. After that are several sheets you can put your equipment and spell cards into. Then we have two sections of high quality drawing paper. The first is dot lined so you can map your dungeons or write notes. The second is nice, 100gsm paper that you can draw in or journal.
It is really a beautiful product and I'm very happy with the results. Take a second and head over to the project page and check it out. And of course, please share it with your friends.

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've done a project and wanted to let you know that I just launched the Mimic Adoption Program over on Backerkit.
I've moved over to Backerkit not because I'm dissatisified with Kickstarter at all. I just wanted to explore a new platform and see how things go.
We were fully funded in 24 hours and it is still early in the project, so there is a lot of time to jump in. Since we hit our first funding goal of reaching the goal within 48 hours, everyone will receive a mimic dice jail with the adoption of a baby or teen mimic.
There is a lot to see and I don't want to waste too much space on this update, so go take a look. Click on the picture above, or follow this link:
Thanks a lot and I hope you have the chance to adopt your very own mimic!

Just about the only cards left to make/ship are some custom orders. I have sent emails to custom orders to confirm details, but have not heard back from several of you. If you pledged at the custom order level and have not heard from me, please check your spam folder or email me at [email protected]
If you have received the email, but have not responded, please do so immediately. I'd like to close this 100% by the end of the year.

I want to thank everyone for their patience and trust lately. I know I haven't posted updates like I should. I'm going to blame it on a very busy last couple months. In addition to trying to wrap up this project, I've been at the Yuletide Village at the Ohio Ren Fest (Waynesville, Ohio) for the past three weekends and am finishing up that event this weekend. I'm very hopeful that they'll let me in the Ren Fest for the full fall season next year. I'm really impressed with the faire overall and can't wait to get back next year. Once I get in for the full season, the next step is building/buying my own storefront (instead of a tent). I'm 100% certain that this would be a great move both for me personally, and for the business.
But that's not the reason I'm writing today. I'm writing to let you know that I'll be taking probably 90% of the project to the post office on Friday. Today, I think I finished up all the standard cards and maybe 3/4 of the special orders. I hope I'll be able to get any remainders out next week. I'd like to have this 100% shipped before Christmas. Keep an eye on the Backerkit site. I'll be posting tracking numbers there.
That is all for now. Thanks again, and keep an eye out for my next project; I'm shooting for 1st quarter 2023.

I've submitted the survey for review and should have it reviewed within the next couple of days. I don't see any reason why it won't be out by the end of the week.
